This is a very simple process. Remember: this is for Model Year 1995 ONLY!
1. Open the hood.
2. Look back by the driver's side strut tower. There will be a wiring cluster terminating in a box about five inches by two inches.
This is the connector
3. Pull the cover off the box. There is one test wire by itself, and then the block of six together, as shown.
4. As shown in the picture, with the short row (narrow end) at the top, put a paper clip into the top-right hole. Clarifying:
......[1].[2]....
..[3][4][5][6]..
that would be pin 2.
5. Put the other end of the paper clip into the single wire's plug.
6. Get in the car and check that the A/C is off, the parking brake is on (just to be careful) and the shifter is in P (auto) or neutral (manual). Then turn the key to the "on" position. Don't start the car, just turn it on. You'll hear fans come on, and relays click, then:
7. Read the output. The CEL will flash the codes to you.
http://www.thorssell.net/hbook/eectest.html has a description of how they come out. Basically, it's like this: Hard faults, 4 seconds, hard faults repeated, 6 seconds, seperator pulse, 6 seconds, memory faults, 4 seconds, memory faults repeated. Just read the flashes. Again, the link above goes into much greater detail, but is also more general, since this is a standard EEC-IV procedure.
8.
http://www.thorssell.net/hbook/3digit.html has the codes for you to look up. Post the code if you're not sure what it means. Good luck!
