Comparing a stock Eclipse GSX #s with a stock 99 SVT, our cars get smoked off the line but by 100mph we are a second ahead. By 120mph its absurd.

C&D 4/99 12/92
CSVT Eclipse GSX
0-60 6.9 0-60 6.4
0-100 19.1 0-100 20.5
0-120 33.1 0-120 41.5

It's not impossible to win.

Ok,

Calc. problem. At what point after the start are these two vehicles at the same point again? (We are assuming the Eclipse jumps out front, but the Contour can catch him. It is not the same time as when your speed is higher since you have to make up the ground you lost, it will be later, but when?

Show work and explain your assumptions since we don't have a lot of data points showing the rate of acceleration laugh
