Oh of course my first choice is finding a place that has them so I don't have to order. Ordering is a last resort. Tiretrends is the cheapest to ship and has the best prices for Canada ... they're also Canadian so no duty problems. The places I called wanted around $15/tire for installating and stuff. I did look at the Traction T/A but their wear doesn't seem to be much better than the 65-sidewall Falkens, which are a lot cheaper (especially if I find a place that stocks them).

BFG Traction T/A's have a 100,000 km limited treadlife warranty. The Falken Ziex 512's in a 65-series have a 96,000 km warranty. Thing is, don't be fooled by the treadwear ratings. Although a higher number means greater wear, it depends on a lot of factors (driving conditions, rubber compound, speed rating, etc.).

The only reason why I would go for a BFG is the number of dealers that can help you out during a warranty claim. You said yourself that it's hard trying to find people that carry Falken's in stock.

If you're still insisting on Falkens, then give Steelcase Tires a call up in Markham. I know they were suggesting the 512's for me initially, but I eventually took to Toyo.

Hmm good point. Excellent point actually. I guess if I get a flat in the sidewall and have to replace the tire, I'll be searching for 1 tire everywhere. But the Traction T/A are quite a bit more expensive (price is an issue for me). I think I'm starting to lean towards the Yokohama Avid H4S again ... if they stock them easily. I'll have to search around now. Thanks for bringing that up
