The FL400S is identical to the FL820S except it's SAE instead of metric. Silicon bypass valve is on threaded end, as it should be.





There are two valves in the filter. The red silicon valve is the anti drain back valve. The by pass valve is the steel "butterfly" spring and how it seats with the center core tube.
