And think about the design you want for at least 2 weeks before you get it.

I got my first tattoo a couple of weeks ago. I got it on the top of my foot so that I can show it off only when I want to (wearing sandals, etc.). The top of the foot was a pretty painful place to get it though . The other problem with getting it on your foot is that I have to get it touched up/filled in a little more next week, since part of it was expected to rub off over the initial 2 weeks of having it.
