Well, found a friend who knew a tech and we got the alternator out, rebuilt it and replaced it in just under 2 hours. I was initally just going to replace it but this tech said that he could rebuild these things in his sleep. The hardest part was removal and replacement. He rebuilt it in about 30 minutes.
