Are you sure? They can visually look perfectly fine but still be shot. Have you tested them by powerbraking in Drive and Reverse and seeing if the engine moves significantly?
Unfortunately I don't think there's an easy way to bump up the idle since it's controlled by the computer. The adjustment screw at the throttle body (it doesn't have a carb) sets the base idle, which the computer then adjusts from there using the idle air valve. You could try adjusting that screw, but it may cause drivability problems and a check engine light because the computer can't get the idle down as low as it wants.
