Just curious of what all you guys (and gals) are using (Other than Dynamat) to deaden those awful vibrations. I was looking for some self-adhesive roofing asphalt, but couldn't find any. I also hear it doesn't stick as well as dynamat either. Sooo...what are you guys using? does it work well? where do you have it installed? How much did it cost? Where'd you get it?

Sure that the dynamat xtrem is the best but for doing a good job you need to install it with a heatgun.

BUT they also have a another self-adhesive version that is way cheaper than the original. this series is all black with blue dynamat logo on it, compare to the xtrem with aluminium finish one side.

Don't waste money on that logo. You can do your entire car for 1/3 the price if you stay away from the brand name asphalt self adhesive sound dedeners.

E-Dead

Elemental Designs has thier version, starting at $1 persquare foot.
Thier version of Dynamat Extreme is $1.50 per square foot and is thicker.
The V3 stuff is brush on, and will seal any air leaks in the car's body, as well as seep into any panel gaps that cause vibration. $50 a gallon is pretty cheap, they have deals for the stuff all the time as well.

Yeah it's all the same thing really give or take, go with whatever installs easily and is cheap.

That's fine, but there are people here that do pay retail for things and in thier case Dynamat is a poor choice in value. Telling them to buy dynamat doesn't make as much sense when they would be paying much more per square foot than you right?

I strongly prefer Dynomat extreme to anything else I've used, but I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices they charge. Most of my car is done in edead which works reasonably well.
