All right. I'm probably just stupid, and I did do a search on the subject. My interior clock doesn't light up. In the daylight i can read the #'s, but it's not glowing. Yes i checked the light bulb and it's ok. I checked fused also. It has to be in the wiring or something. Any feed back is helpful.

How do you know the bulb is ok. Did you replace it or something? It would be hard to tell simply by visual inspection.

All the filaments were in one piece so i assumed...but you know what they say about someone who makes an assumption.

I had this exact problem. The numbers were visible during the day, just not lit up. Does your clock lite in the dim mode when you turn on the headlights? This is what mine did. The problem was a burnt up transistor on the clock ciruitry. Look here
my clock fix to see how I fixed mine, that is if yours is doing the same thing as mine. Look here for more insight on my clock problem My Clock Died

The bulb can break in places other than the filament, so it still sounds like your best bet.

True, but if the bulb lights up when the headlights are turned on, then the bulb is good. It's only has 1 filament so if it is burnt out, it won't work bright or dim. If his clock still doesn't light dim w/ the panel lights on, then the bulb is bad.

This might sound ridiculous, but punch your dash.. My clock was dead for like a month, acting just like yours.. Then one day, it flickered on for a few minutes, and then it was gone again.. That convinced me it wasn't the bulb, and more than likely just a loose connection somewhere.. A swift whack to the dash, and it's been working now for 2 months!

I just have to laugh at that. Who says violence doesn't solve anything? LOL. I'll use that as a last resort also. laugh
