hello...i live in los angeles. i taught in public elementary, junior and senior high schools. many of my students were or were the children of illegal immigrants. the language thing is no big deal. i cant really think of a situation in which i need to communicate with someone and cant. its not like your house is going to catch fire, you call 911, and the operator doesnt speak any English. not to mention, i speak some spanish and my wife speaks if fluently
as for auto insurance, that's why i have my own insurance there are tons of legal residents rolling around without insurance. better to have full coverage than hope that other people do and i dont know what wack state you live in, but here in the insurance-rape capital of the world, your rates dont go up if youre not at fault, period. doesnt matter if the other party doesnt have insurance.

btw, legal does not = English speaking
i bet there are quite a few CEGers who have grandparents that are legal US citizens/residesnt and dont speak any English. my wife's grandmother for one.

If you live is LA then you should understand. English should be the national language, that way we wouldn't have to worry about all the illegals NOT speaking english and thinking they can get away with it.

And yes, the language thing is a big deal. IN Dallas, they've just started making principals LEARN spanish? WTC? This is America for crying out loud. Try making the Mexicans learn english for you!! Not gonna happen...

As for insurance? I do have full coverage insurance. I live in Texas.
