Anyone know exactly what process the Minutemen use when they find illegals crossing the border? Do they detain them?

IMO it'd be nice if in addition to patrolling the border, the Minutemen could lobby the administration to take a harder line against illegal immigration.



They alert the INS to the presence of illegals. The Minutemen are mostly there for a visual deterrent.

The accusations of racism against Mexicans are preposterous. Look at the location. When you are watching the Mexican border, the likelyhood that you are going to encounter Mexicans is substantially higher than if they were watching the Canadian border.
