im sure they wont be complaining when half of the workers who end up in new orleans turn out to be illegal immigrants. where else can you find 10k laborers willing to work for $5 an hour NOW?!  sure, there are going to be tons of professional contractors, roofers, plumbers etc but im talking about the sh*t-grunt work that people dont want to do. the hauling away of trash and crap. i hope people dont honestly think that the residents, maaaany of whom were unemployed before the hurricane, are going to jump right up and grab a broom and some gloves. im betting that illegal workers will be trucked in by some major contractors and the government will just turn a blind eye for the sake of rebuilding the area as quickly and cheaply as possible.
im sure the Minutemen will be surrounding the area with signs, demanding that the contractors hire Americans to do the work instead, at $15 an hour.
You really need to venture out in other parts of the world some. I grew up in a town that was so small it only had caution light. There are plenty of americans that work for minimum wage and they are happy about it. Really tired of you thinking that "ONLY" illegals will work for low wages.
