OP intravino New CEG\'er I Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 32 Montreal, QC, Canada	Hey Guys, Was driving and I came to a Stop and thick gray smoke was comming out from the hood. I Stopped the engine and noticed a lot of oil of the Top of the manual tranmission housing. I check the Dip Stick and I did lose some oil but not a lot, very minor if you believe the Dip Stick. Anyways, Where id this Oil Comming From ? I hope not from Crankshaft... Please Joe saw it isn't so !!! I just put $ 2000 this summer on my car and plus I did 60 % of the Job myself. Mario 96 Mystique Zetec MTX, 177 000 KM. Check and scan for CEL codes. Clean housing of oil (wipe dry). Fill engine oil to max line. Check coolant level. Then start and listen for weird sounds. See if oil is leaking (and from where). Then post and we can go further from here. Good luck. Edit. When was the last time you changed the engine oil and filter?
