I don't have to do this in my climate, but just how expensive is a set of steel winter wheels? I seems like you could buy a set of wheels for what it would cost to mount and remount a couple of times.
The last time I bought a conventional wheel at a tire shop for a full size spare, it was only $20.00. I'm sure that they are less in a wrecking yard.
