Your right but when the guy tells you to you face that the brakes are new and he changed the water pump, i wonder how long till the engine does take a dump!

this is what his ad read. I don;t think any of it was new besides the part where he put a different engine in. may be my fault for not looking into it more, but still.
1996 Contour SE V-6 5speed sunroof cloth int. power windows, locks, tilt wheel, cruise, A/C New engine with 88,000 miles. New clutch. New rack & pinion. New brakes all aound. 24v Engine, 5-speed manual, Power Moonroof, Split fold-down rear seats, premium bucket seats, Ford premium sound system. Nice ground affects, rear spoiler. Clean Blue color. Self Maintained. Alloy Wheels. Driver Air Bag; Air Conditioning; Alloy Wheels; Cruise Control; Passenger Air Bag; Rear Window Defroster; Power Door Locks; Power Mirrors; Power Windows; Power Steering; Sunroof/Moonroof; Tilt Wheel;
also the carfax report shows possable odometer rollback, which I guess doesn;t mean much since I have no way of knowing just how many miles the engine has anyway....
At least when I bought my explorer that guy was 100% honest with me...he said he towed a lot of heavy trailers with it so when the trans took a dump 20,000 miles later I was not suprised...

  HERES a few pics of a 95. I believe the mounts on the front valve cover will work for the imrc box. the second pic is of the vacuum actuator and linkage. hope this helps

heres another closer view of the actuator, its hard to see but its right behind the pcv valve. there is also a control solenoid for the actuator underneath it, I believe it shares a braket with the DPFE sensor.

Yep, it was an issue with the chain tensioners. Fixed in the 1996 models. There's a TSB to address this, but MOST of the time it doesn't end in catastrophe. I only notice it when changing the oil and system pumps back up.

hey lance was-up. is it an issue with the hydraulic tensioners similar to that in the exploders?, because that is when you really start to notice them too, right at start-up after oil change. did this cahnge in 96. I have a 95 mystique and I have never heard any type of valve train noise, even after oil changes. I have use full sythetic oil since 32k though.
