Anyone ever buy the new aftermarket haedlights off ebay?
I have mold growing in one of mine and need a new haedlight. There are many new aftermarket headlight assemblies on ebay. Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience.
Thanks!
Carl

For the MOMENT: check out this thread and go to Rockauto.com, using the code in that thread. That nets cheaper prices than even Steve @ Tousley (for the moment, until that code expires.) Ray

My experience with Ebay headlights, they don't fit right. I can't vouch for the "new aftermarket" lights but the ones others have gotten did not fit correctly. I especially had a problem with the driver's side, it had to have some modification to fit. After modifying it it still stuck out on the outside of the car at the front fender. The pass. side fit a bit better but not like OEM. IMHO, I would suggested taking Logan or Ray's advice.

x2, I have the ebay lights and they don't fit right. They stick out past the side of the car and look off.

www.1aauto.comor www.partstrain.comVery good places. They are aftermarket, and a lot cheaper than going with OEM replacement... I've never bought headlights for the Contour from them, but for my Suburban and a 1995 Taurus, and everything fit JUST fine...

I bought a set for my Contour about a year ago in preparation for the Dragon Run. They fit just fine for me. I heard one CEGer had a fitment problem & was able to return them with no fuss, so I figured, "WTH, I'll give it a shot.".
How much are the OEM lights from the dealers listed??
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I've worked at RockAuto.com's home office for over 2 years now.. I'll continue to update the 5% discount code for all of CEG to use but I either I need to have a thread that I keep updating or give the new code to a particular moderator so they can edit all the time..
BTW -- for those of you needing FelPro gaskets for your 3L swaps its a great way to save a nice little chunk.
