Also, anyone else use other legit/pay sites?
www.emusic.com, PM me if you want a referral. It's not very mainstream but if you like jazz, blues, alternative, indie/small label stuff, it's really quite good and reasonably priced.
I just got doing a consulting gig for the founder of emusic

all over the place. Mostly shareaza. I've also been using itunes recently, they seem to have most of what i'm looking for when it comes to dance music. I've got no problem paying, as long as I get what I want. Also use beatport.com and audiojelly for other dance/house music (pay sites as well).
And yes you can remove copy protection from itunes music.

The problem with PSU napster is that you can't do anything with the songs! I really want to put my library on my iPod, and Napster won't allow that - so I haven't even installed it this semester.

If you have purchased the tracks you can send them to your iPod using Real Player's Rhapsody. I was able to successfully import all my tracks to Rhapsody and have been able to not only play them but also burn them using Rhapsody's software. I would also be able to send them to a iPod if I had one, but I don't. I switched from Napster to Rhapsody because Napster's selection sucks, Rhapsody has much more music. And I don't use Limewire or anything else cause I want legit music and don't want to mess with pop-ups or spyware.

Discussions of where to download (steal) music will not be tolerated. Any further discussions on the subject that I see will be met with penalties. I think that is a reasonable request.
