I agree with the checking out the used one. I bought a used "good" one from a yard and had a good builder friend of mine tear it down just to make sure. I am very glad I did as the drum was broken, one clutch pack was burned up and the planetaries were chewed up. I had him build it with all new hard parts and the sonnax valve body and a few other goodies alng with a set of carbon kevlar or something clutches. He only charged me 975 to do all that. I cant complain a bit about it either, it shifts so nice and firm, sometimes if I let the rpms go way up it will chirp the tires when it hits second.
