New info in regards to the 4300k and 6000k kits:

The difference between the 4200K and the 6000K is quite simple.

1- 4200K is a bright white light nothing else it will never be blue, yellow, green, purple or any other color. The only way it can change color is from the optics in the headlight. The reason why you see Audi's and Lexus etc. with blueish light is because the headlights from the factory are designed to give it that look. That is why when we have Audi customers with A4's we recommend doing the S4 light housings so that they can have that look because all S4's come with Xenon. If a person with an Audi A4 (which comes with halogen housings) used a stage 1 kit it would just be bright white.

2- The 6000K kit is designed for looks. The 6000K kit will give you that purplish blueish look without any other mods. Here is a quick rundown on why the 6000K kits do not use Phillips bulbs.

Phillips 6000K bulbs could NOT be DOT approved which means we can't get them here in the U.S. Our supplier who is an importer for Phillips has designed a 6000K bulb which is what we have been selling as the 6000K kit that works with Phillips ballasts.

Between the stage 1 and stage 2 we recommend the Stage 1 kit. Why?

Because you get a five year warranty and 30% more light. But the choice is yours.

The reason why we do not recommend the Korean kit.

Phillips has put in millions of dollars in machinery to do R&D on their bulbs. The generation 2 kit is basically just a quick copy of Phillips.
If you want more feedback on that kit you can check out www.audiworld.com and they will give you their feedback on that kit I don't want to say anything else about that kit.

IIRC, DOT has nothing to do with automotive lighting regulations, that is the SAE. confused

Ok, real question, but unsure if Antonio can answer it. Do you recommend HID's for the pre 98's since they have a different housing design? I was told that the older style headlights are designed to refract the light a bit, as opposed to the clear, 98+ housings. Plus, how the hell do you get the older assemblies out, to install them, cause for a $500 kit, I am not gonna risk breaking anything because I want to be lazy and not take the headlight out.
