First off:
fix the codes.
It would have been helpful to get the code.. to VERIFY what it was. Assuming it really is "insufficient/Excessive flow" then I would look in to replacing the DPFE (below the TB and towards the firewall...)
Once you get rid of the codes, we can work on the "less" important passive aspects. (not judging the importance to YOU.. )
