Yes, but when deluted with gasoline, acetones properties are changed. Now-- the filler tube is plastic, and wouldn't prolong pouring that in cause some "melting"?

I'm almsot willing to give it a shot in a lawnmower just for [censored] and giggles. I think I will. When I get a sec, I'll compeltly top of the tank in a lawnmower and let it run til it runs otu of gas (just at idle, no moving, etc) and then experiment with the acetone. Considering a .6 Gallon gas tank, I would assume .064 ounces of acetone to teh tank, fully mixed. I'll time each one and see what it results, note any weird smells, backfiring, soot, etc, and I'll give my findings tommorow. Hopefully the neighbors will be okay with a lawnmower running all night.
