So I have had JVC (didn't eject CDs), Pioneer (Faceplate would cut out on and off), Sony (got stolen), and now my latest Kenwood HU is gone (didn't read CDs). Exchanged for an Alpine.....so far so good. I like it. Hope it lasts.

poor guy who stole your sony... at least you didnt have time to have problem with it

i have my alpine HU since early 2000 and never had problem with it.

so far i really like the eclipse HU for their reliability and performance and i will consider it when my alpine will die

Over the years, I've owned Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer, Clarion, JVC, and a few others I can't remember. I never had a problem with a single HU (aside from theft).

Good choice on the Alpine!

Friends of mine have had every other kind of headunit. I liked the Kenwood Elexon stuff but when I got my Alpine I won't buy anything else now. I love the 5-band fully parametric EQ and the time delay for the speakers.

Enjoy!

What model did you get?

I have used Sony HUs for years, including the CDX-C910 in my last real system. Never had an issue.
