97 V6,
When I squeeze the upper radiator hose with the engine running I do not feel much resistence. The res. tank is full and theres plenty of heat from the heater, the car is not overheating. Does the top hose take water to or from the engine?
Any thoughts.
Thanks

I am not possitive, but the top hose should be the return hose. That is how it is on most vehilces to keep the water pump from sucking air if the water level gets low. The only time there might be pressure is when the termostat opens and exchanges water, other wise the water mainly circulates in the engine block.
