As far as i know Panoz uses a 6L V12 that they make themselfs

The stuff I've seen has only mentioned Ford power.

Panoz Esperante uses a 4.6L V8. That might explain the Saleen connection.

the first GTR1's were 6.0L Robert Yates motors modified from NASCAR mills according to everything ive read. The new stuff Panoz does is all Elan Power supplied engines. They have several variants of the motor that IIRC are based off of FoMoCo modulars.
