That seems like a tremendous bargain for the money, even if you never use the video capabilities.
I have been contemplating connecting a 3.5mm-RCA adapter to the AUX-in of my deck, and then finding an elegant way to mount something like the Cruzer Companion--all so I'd have USB support. This deck just seems like such a better value.
I don't really know of anyone who's used Pyle as most of the car audio friends I have write it off as a worthless generic brand. Still, for the price, I wouldn't mind being the guinea pig

Maybe in a couple years.
The pyle functionally would do what i need it to, but there's nowhere to mount (need pre-98 console)...and it's butt fugly.
Maybe i'll try out that fm thing...for $30 you can't go wrong i guess.
yeah i don't really understand the price there either
hell you can get one of thoose mac minis or a cheap small pc and get a new head unit that suports line in and all the extras to make it all work good in a car for half as much

What's so bad about the FM transmitter? I was thinking about getting my sister one of those for Christmas, bad idea? She's got a Zetec with the stock Cassette player.

Because the original poster wants a HU, not that. But for you it might be a good idea.
Here's the Sony HU that supports the memory stick
MEX-5DI, but from the Memory Stick it only plays ATRAC files... the HU plays MP3s from a CD though

well, I bought the fm transmitter posted in this thread...and while it's a cool idea the quality is less than acceptable. Too much static. Thanks for the heads up on the sony HU, but what are ATRAC files??

ATRAC is a compression scheme used by Sony, I believe it started with their Minidisc players.
