Textbooks are a gold mine. Where I used to attend school the bookstore wouldn't allow bookbags in the store for obvious reasons, but provided free lockers. No one used the lockers, and as a result dozens of bags were stolen each semester. The thieves that were caught were never students, and I'm sure they weren't stealing Calculus or Multivariate Statistics books for their reading pleasure.
