alot of coin, true.. but those shifter cart races are one helluva sport. I'd consider that over Nascar or Cart... I'd see the adrenaline being just as high.
There's a nicely modded one in my area for a little over 6 grand, with a decent sized trailer, lots of extras (like Todd said) and a sweet 250cc HPT modified motor- he said it's seen speeds up to 115mph.
A lot of guys who race and win (who are good, obviously) can take hom esome nice cash and sponsorships throuhg these events.
