i have a 256mb MPiO mp3 player, from the company "Digitalway?". The software for it really sucks, and it will freeze up whenever im trying to add or remove songs from it. I was looking for a plug-in that would let iTunes think its a regular ipod, and let me drag and drop files from itunes onto it. I found one, called "Bad Apple," but its a beta version and i can't get it to load.
Anyone know of any other programs i could use?

Dunno about ITunes, but try syncing music to it through WMP10 and see what happens.

I prefer Musicmatch Jukebox for the AutoDJ (classic and regular, superior sorting, and "super tagging" (online lookup of any MP3 to determine album, artist, year, track#, genre, etc automatically...) It supports a ton of MP3 platers, and the support plugin accepts open source support, so you can find a plugin written by users, if the plugin isn't officially supported.

I know that realplayer lets me put files on my ipod and also on my friends mp3 player... that may be worth a try if you don't mind realplayer infecting your system

Does your MP# player show up as a disk drive? All three of mine allow drag and drop via explorer.

i think its supposed to, bc it said it could also be used as a flash drive, but it doenst show up like my other, actual, flash drive does.
I tried windows media player, it wont connect there. The model is the DIgitalway Mpio FY200. Ive searched a lot, but the closest thing i can find is the mac version.

Okay... wait.
Let's make sure of something:
You DO have the latest drivers for your MP3 player, right? Also, perhaps your company has a flash update for the player itself.
I say this because I have a Virgin Pulse 256mb mp3 player that has "the capability" to be used as a standard flash drive. When I got it, it wouldn't work.. nothing would.. (well.. the AM/FM tuner on it.. but no mp3 stuff) computer would "detect" it, but wouldn't use it, or allow me to use it.
I finally got the newer drivers for it and it worked as mp3, fine. I still couldn't use it as a flash drive. I contacted virgin and they advised me of a flash update that was required to use it as a jumpdrive. before that flash updte, I had to install the newer drivers I aquired to any computer I wished to use it on.
After the flash, it is automatic, and all-inclusive. works on any computer, and pops up as a jumpdrive instantly.
