i have gotten the installation 1/2 done and i need some advise.

what is the easiest way to remove the original kat/manifold from the rear bank.
i have the alternator removed, do i need to remove the bracket from the block as well?
also is it absolutely nessesary to remove the inner and outer CV's on the pass side or will the header slide bye it?

thanks a bunch

I didn't remove the alternator to put on my headers... I probably should have, but I was able to get a swivel ratchet in there.

As for the rest of the exhaust, I discontected the catalytic converter from the y-pipe, then discontected the y-pipe from both banks. I did support the cat. with a couple of 4x4 pieces.

My advice on removing the bracket is to leave it attatched. I don't see what you'd want to risk having something strip out if you don't absolutely need too.

Hope some of this helps.

well i had to remove the alternator for the manifold to clear. I did not remove any axles either. I used long extensions with a wobble and placed the extensions (coming from rear of vehicle to front) between subframe and firewall. if you look from back to front under the car youll see that its almost a straight shot to the top nutsof the manifold. and you could also do the 3 lowers if you want. easy as cake in a box.

if you need more clarification let me know i just did it less than a month ago.
