From what I've read in at least one newspaper and have seen from the weather channel, global warming has little to nothing to do with the hurricanes this year.

We've had TWO large hurricanes this year, and we're technically later into hurricane season.

We have experienced far more hurricanes in the past- the 1930's I believe were particularly pretty rough.

But, let's also remember that natural disasters are NOT occuring at a much higher rate- we simply have the means with which to track them farther, and have more people living in areas where they were previously unpopulated.
