what happened to personal responsibility? guess what people? these are FOR PROFIT companies. they are only obligated to live up to the agreement which YOU are agreeing to! 
it's sad if these people aren't covered, but it isn't the ins. companies job to go bankrupt out of good will for people who either didn't buy the correct coverage, or didn't buy supplemental coverage. the onus is on the CONSUMER to make sure their asses are covered.
