In doing some basic searches I found little information on this device. The advertisement claims it can flash any 96-05 Ford. Has anyone used one of these devices and does it really work? If so, is there any information regarding advise on what changes to make to increase performance? I know that depends on modifications, but I haven't found much written on the subject either. I'm wondering whether it would be best to buy an Xcalibrator and make changes on my own or take it to a shop that has a dyno? I'm kind of leaning towards the dyno for multiple reason.

It depends on you personally... If you know what you are doing, you can do a fine job with an Xcal. The advantage of going to a dyno and having them tune it is they can monitor the air:fuel ratio with a good wideband O2 to get the program more accurate.

I personally would love an Xcal, it'd be fun to play around with...
