Because I can lease a 2004 Mazda Miata for about $230 a month which includes insurance and all maintenance.
I must admit, I REALLY like the look of the new MX-5. Standard 170HP (which matches the turbo Mazdaspeed model), 6-speed, 60MPH in 6.5 seconds, 1/4 in 15 flat at 91MPH. Can't wait to see what Mazdaspeed does with the new MX-5.  We should see the first MX-5 break the 200HP mark with a factory warranty and it still weighs under 2500lbs.
