your supposed to only get a 4" band and also a 4" sun band across the windshield. what exactly is that and what does it do, and do u have any pics?

I've had 5% tint on all four cars I have had...so i guess that equals 7 years of driving here in Florida and never a tint ticket...only 4 speeding tickets  and the cops never mentioned a single thing about my tint.

i bought my car used w/ tint on it. i was likely 35% all around. i got caught in a night safety check and got a warning for the tint. the dmv tested it w/ their meter and it read 31-32%. he said it has to be 35% visible. i stripped the tint and had them sign off the warning. when i went to get retinted the guy told me that the factory windows have a super light tint. check the corner of your window...solar tint. this was enough to make my 35% tint darker and fail. so i retinted(see my sig) and carry the invoice w/ %breakdowns to show any cop. the cop that gave me the warning wasn't buying the its stock thing. i was trying to explain the its a special edition model car. be careful. if it wasn't a multi-cop stop check, i don't think a cop would've pulled me over.
...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

5% all on all but the windshield. No problems yet (cross fingers) Looks good. Honestly, it looks better with no tint at all, I like that clean look, but with a black and blue SVT, too hot. Either all or nothing!

Im too dumb to remember the actual percentage of tint that I got and I find reference to percentage confusing, is 65% the amount of light in or the amount blocked? If someone told me I wouldnt remember anyway. I work in Cincinnati and the shop I went to gave me a choice of two tint levels one was really black and one was more subtle. I have a black SVT and I went with the subtle approach which I think looks a lot better, it doesnt put too much emphasis on the windows and plus there are no hassles with police.
