I was thinking about getting my csvt's windows tinted, but the legal limit in Ohio is 50%, which is like the POS factory tint that comes on some cars. I have also heard from some people that only the front windows have to comply with that rule. Anyways, out of everyone out their that has a darker than legal tint, every gotten a ticket?

This is in Cali, but it's a combo of alot of things, if it's tinted way dark they'll pull you over to see what you're hiding. It seems that the darker the windows, the more attention you draw from cops. Then they ticket you.

5% for 8 months...I could give the cop sitting next to me the finger and he wouldn't know it...but never been pulled over.

Had 5% on my 88 t-bird for 3 years and only got 2 tickets. The one time i got pulled over was for not signaling while changing lanes at 1 in the morning. wrote me the tint ticket instead. I now have 13% on all five windows and a special 50% on the windshield that helps keep the heat out during the summer. Only 1 ticket in the tour so far in 1 1/2 years. Having the front done is not legal in jersey at all.
My friend that is a mechanic just got a notice stating that it is now legal if you get a note from a eye doctor saying your sensitive to light. HEHE can't wait to get mine.

no problems here...i've had 15% for almost a year and never gotten a second glance from a cop

20% on the front 3 windows and 1% on the back three. in michigan its illegal to get the front drivers and passengers windows tinted completetly. your supposed to only get a 4" band and also a 4" sun band across the windshield. as for me i have the front windows tinted and a 9" sun band across the windshield. no tickets yet though!

I have pulled over many times for the stinkin tint I now just have the legal limit....

I believe tint laws are set by the city. Here in Naperville, it is 36%. In neighboring Aurora, you cannot have any tint. Check your local laws. 50% ain't that bad....what are you trying to hide behind a tint anyways?
