In other words, would it be possible to simply make short one (yes, the threading would be a major pain) and replace the big one? How do you get down there to see, anyway? redhawk Member R Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 1,969	Don't quote me on this... Undo the allan head screw and pull up the knob slightly (not too far or the wires will snap). Pull the plastic surround at the base off and disconnect the OD wire. Remove the handle... This is how Neco describes it... Kharma is very real and she is one mean b!tch.

Later Nick 99 tour se zetec complete painted interior, BN white gauges, 4.5in. fab. aluim. cold air in take, no res, ported man. hooker header areo chamber muffler, 9mm Ford Racing wires, and bla bla bla more stuff, painted rear ref., mesh top and bottom, L.E.D w/direction turn signal, trible flames down both sides, L.E.D. washer fluid lights, AND Alot More

Hey I was thinking about painting my dash like yours and I was wondering how you did it. Someone keyed my car and so I bought a bunch of T-Red touch up paint and I remebered seeing a powder blue S-10 with his dash painted the color as his car like you did. The trim looks textured to me so do I need to sand it down first or what? LoCo Member L Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 3,950 Chitown	Well the dash you just need to clean very well and let dry very well. I used dishsoap to get off all the grease. I do recommend sanding(just a little) the other interior pieces that have a texture and clean them well also. Paint a few coats let dry and spray some clearcoat (a few coats) and let dry completely.
