I went to VCU for a couple semesters some years ago. Unfortunately, the campus is bordered by some not so good neighborhoods. Being that she is 17, it was most likely her first semester and she didn't know which areas to avoid. Hopefully, she is okay, but as others said, it just doesn't seem likely.
