It's the Type R model only sold in Japan.
I wanted something economical, so I searched eBay until I came up with this dude selling one that he refurbished with a quad turbo'd Civic Type R 4cyl. No V6 fuel consumption there! It's AWD too, using the system from the Acura RL SH-AWD. Since the engine sits lower in the chassis now that it's smaller, I have more luggage space too. All worthwhile. Guy was moving to Miami and just sold his house over there just off Mt. Fuji, so he said he could afford to take a hit and let me have it for $3900.
