Bulls**t. I couldn't care less if he feels that way, but there is no need whatsoever to say that through the media. You handle that s**t in the locker room and with the coaching staff. It shouldn't get any further than that. Everyone on that team from the top to the bottom needs to be on the same page. So what if Bly thinks Harrington can't get it done? Go to the coaching staff. Regardless of whether they make a change at QB, all 53 guys on that team need to bust their ass and give 100% no matter who's under center.
There's not a bit of difference between what Bly said and what Terrell Owens said a few weeks back. They were both extremely detrimental to the team and s**t like that doesn't do ANY good. This team has been separating into factions for the past month and a half. Mariucci should have nipped this s**t in the bud as soon as the defense started calling out the offense for not getting the job done on TV and in the newspapers. He let it go for too long and unfortunately in doing so, he lost control of this team.

I would have suspended him on the spot. Then he goes and demands to be moved if things don't improve. Maybe he should quit crying and contribute to a victory. Lions have a winning record in games he has not played in the last three years. Not that that means they wouldn't have won with him, but he is part of the team and needs to stop going TO on his QB. Mariucci couldn't adjust to the teams strengths and was rightfully fired. Harrington, isn't a great QB because a great QB can still be adequate in the absence of talent around him. I kept hoping he would walk up to the line, call an audible and make a play, but instead he followed the inept play calling from the sideline. A leader would override the coach occassionally and make the play. I was especially hoping for something the week he supposedly dind't care and didn't have pressure according to him.
Starting Garcia is a monumental mistake, perhaps the worst this week. He has only proven that he can get away from sacks better than harrington. He has yet to prove he can move the ball, pass accurately, or lead this offense. His play has been every bit as brutal as Harringtons and he is well past his prime. Jauron is only starting him to try to win some games and get interim stripped from his title. That is not what the lions need and Millen needs to override him here and either start Harrington or Orlovsky. It's talent evaluation time, not time to prepare Garcia for future old timers games. He should rot on the bench where he belongs and he needs to keep his mouth shut. For someone who hasn't contributed anything positive on the field, the least he can do is show some leadership off the field and not rip teammates and management.
The problems on the lions have been in order of importance:
1.) Leadership. The lockerroom is a mess because they don't have leadership at any level of the organization.
2.) Playcalling. 1 and 2 could be lumped together as simply coaching hence the rightful firing of Mariucci.
3.) Offensive line, the key word being offensive. As bad as Backus has played, he one of the few showing any heart playing through an injury most people wouldn't.
4.) Talent. This has yet to be decided because the prior 3 don't allow this to come through.
5.) No cheerleaders.

Both of your points are well taken and it really shows this team needs a LEADER, they've never had one  Think about it, who was the face/leader of the Lions in the past 15+ years....NOONE! True the team needs disipline, thats not the way a professional team handles it, but we're talking about the Lions here, so it makes sense  This is why Dre' was able to say what he did, as well as Roy Williams being late to practices and a number of the players calling Marucci by his last name and not coach  , another example of no respect and leadership. That being said, the Lions are going to win this Sunday with Garcia, not the answer to our problems but when healthy, and I stress HEALTHY, he gives the Lions a better chance to win IMO, we shall see this Sunday

I just watched on the sports shows this evening, either 7 or 4 and they said that Matt Millen requested extra security when leaving the game this afternoon due to all the chants and signs, what a pu$$y that guy is  Maybe its a good thing he still lives in PA and not locally, weak, just like the team

I was laughing though when i saw that sign moving around the stadium. The hardest part of that game today is when i heard the crowd booing when we made a touch down. OR when they clapped when the vikings got that interception and ran for tha touch down. Even though there was flag and got called back.
Tough weekend for the lions!! Now i feel no hope for us!!

I was at the game and there were a significant number of viking fans which may have some effect on the boos and cheers.
As for running the guy out of the stadium.. what do you expect.
Roger... I'm going to go to your work place. Make a sign that says "Fire Roger" and run around and try to get everyone cheering "fire roger... fire roger".
Or perhaps I'll do the same.. but say "fire "whoever your boss is"" and see if I don't get thrown out.
People behind us were talking about a violation of free speech. I honestly hate people... freakin retards. It's a private venue... they can throw you out for whatever reason they feel like. If you don't like it stay home.
The biggest way fans can impact the decision making of the organization is to not go to games.
If you don't like the organization then shut up and turn off the tv.
