I save my money and got a 34K svt engine, this engine lasted 300 miles before dying on the highway. After haveing it towed home I took off the valve cover and found 3 broken rockers on the rear bank intake cam. I am currently fighting with the salvage yard to get a new engine since it died under warrenty, but they are really dragging their feet. it sucks
Step 1: Talk to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and file a complaint.
Ben you need to get rid of that POS and buy my SVT..I only have 51,000 miles...haha I put 3000 miles on it this whole year.....What are you guys doing this weekend...I think its time to bust out the domino's

BTW, I have a 97 Zetec ATX 74,XXX miles.
Replace the valve cover gasket and gromets (spelling) I have the gasket & gromets from Bill J. if you want 'em. There'a alsoa set on eBay that's a little cheaper than what I can sell 'em for. I'm just looking to get what I paid for 'em, PM me if you want them.
I just passed 135K on my 98 E1. It is 99% stock (K&N filter) and runs great. It burns no oil and delivers 26-28 mpg consistently. I do have a noisy hub/bearing up front that needs to be taken care of, though... I bought it two years ago with 105K miles and it has turned out to be a great purchase. CSVTs rule!!
I had 178K on my 95's stock 2.5 before pulling it out (no problems) to do a 3L. I just bought a 98.5 SVT that has 250K on the clock and appears to have had the original engine in it.
