I'm amused that you RHD people have to reach so far to shift the most common gears (1, 2, 3, 4). You'd think they would make the gearshift symmetrical to LHD cars, but I guess that would be too much work to reconstruct the tranny. 
I hadn't realized that they were that way, that would be a pain in the booty!
