I have had my 3L running with a stock exhaust and old original cats for about 6K KM. I would say overall the 3L was a decent upgrade over my stock 2.5L you could feel lots of low end torque and it was fun to drive. I got a gutted my manifolds and got my y-pipe optimized and a full 2.5" exhaust from the y-pipe back with a magnaflow 11226 muffler in between. I can't beleive the difference, it pulls so hard up top now it's addictive. It literally is a night and day difference. So if you have a 3L on stock exhaust or even an SVT exhaust you are in for a big surprise when you upgrade it. The car used to lose power around 4800 rpm and it would be hardly making any power up to redline, now it's pulling progressivly harder right up to 7000. I'm just happy and I thought I would share.
