One has to admit that when it comes down to it, it's about making that doe. So naturally, a lot of these folks are trying to find that nitch that's gonna make 'em a hit. I've been listening to rap pretty much since its inception and from what I recall, most of the stuff I liked (and most of my friends) didn't make it to the radio and that's probably still the case. Luda, Jay, 50, Kanye, etc are what the majority like (and for those that don't know 70% of those who buy rap are white). Hiphop is big now but it's not exactly the same as when I was coming up. In another since it is. The stuff that got played on the radio always had a good beat and a hook but the content of the lyrics left much to be desired.
