Zaino isn't like water, but you do put it on very thin. On silver in my garage, I really cannot tell where I've already applied it. But I know it's there. Once I'm done applying, I move it into the sun to dry. Then, I can see a little in certain angles. As it dries it's more obvious. Run you finger across it in an hour or two to check if it's dry.
Here's the beauty: Since it's so thin, taking your towel over it is so easy. It's more like wiping the excess off than buffing wax into the surface.
Since you are curious about the process, at our next meet if my car is clean, I'll tryy to have a coat on the hood a couplehours before. Then it will be dry and you can see how easy it is to take off.
