I'm planning a trip to Arizona and then Utah next month and i've been putting money into the car to fix it up but I am not going through the deseret with out the AC my wife will kill me. Any thoughts? Maybe check and see if it needs to be recharged? Could it be the IAC? Not a mechanic I just change my own oil and plugs and clean the maf and the tb. I install stereo's and amps but not to much into the engine so help is needed and appreciated.
Thanks.
Sounds like the charging system can't keep up with the electrical demands... ie a bad alternator. Time to get the car tested (for free usually) with a load test. Go to Autozone for this.
