Oil was changed about 200 miles ago. Have hardly driven it since I changed it. Running Castol Synthetic 10w 30. 4.5 quarts. Added a 1/2 a quart last week. Thermostat has never been changed.

Umm... is it burning oil? If so, then that could/would/should explain the smoking...

I don't think your car qualifies under the "Zetec = Bulletproof" anymore...

I think so and i'm and trying to figure out how to fix that problem. I just added the 1/2 quart because I wasn't sure about the leaking.

Well today I changed the coolant and the thermostat. The old one was opening and closing way to slow, like it wasn't moving at all. So I replaced the thermostat and added new coolant and the car runs so much better. Even with the ac on full and the stereo up high with the bass blasting its now picks up again really well. I was at ajunk yard today looking for a stock air box and a complete engine cause my brother and I were going to rebuild one but I think i'll pass on that now. Think I'm going to remove the Knn i had put on and go with sleeperz intake desgin. I want to thank you guys for that info on the thermostat. Engine still gets hot but I don't think it gets as hot and it defenately runs a lot lot better.
