Hi,

Just wondering if anyone with an SVT (or just SVT gauges) would be kind enough to post a pic of them illuminated at night? I'm thinking of importing a set to fit to my Mondeo and would like to see them in all their glory smile Searched and found plenty of gauge pics but no nighttime ones!

BTW, I currently have a set of white dials fitted to my car which the numbers illuminate red at night. If anyone wants a pic of these in return since they're a little different let me know and I'll get snapping smile

Cheers,
Paul.

Here ya go smile.

If you can get a pic up, I would like to see them.

I don't know why the speedo looks so much more dim, it usually doesn't look like that.

Excellent, thanks a lot smile. The speedo does look quite dim - is it just a camera effect or can you notice it in reality? Love those needles though, much better than mine (original white ones painted).

I'll try and get a pic of mine tomorrow, it's 2:25am here don't want the neighbours thinking I've gone insane wink

Cheers.

BTW, I'll probably go for the SVT gauges once I've worked out the wiring differences. I'll need to get a feed from the speed sensor since mine is a cable-driven speedo at the moment. Much work, but shouldn't be too hard I hope!

Paul.

The difference in green isn't as obvious as the pic makes it...

That would be something I can take credit for coming up with a couple of years ago.

laugh
You have to take the cluster apart and remove the guage face, then scrape away the paint behind the "SVT" letters, then if you want like I did,use red film behind it so the letters SVT show red like the needles and guages.
There is a how to some where on this site. cool

For the color film, try a music supply shop. They have these plastic filters that turn light different colors.

A vinyl sticker/sign shop has translucent color that will stick on in any shade of color you could want. They can just cut you off a small piece for less than a buck or perhaps free if they have some scrap laying around. Small pieces could be had from me too for a small fee of course. wink
