I lowered the rear about an inch. I did not r&r the whole subframe, so the bushings should be at their stock deflection angle, so now under slight strain.
Well I can't say for sure not doing the preload would cause that noise, but you will have premature bushing failure.
I found my CD changer was hitting the rear deck and the speaker boxes where banging around after going with stiffer setup. Roads suck around here. Also I found the jack loose and a air ratchet in the trunk... Not saying this is the case but other things to check around for. Unless you know for sure it's outside and under the car.
