What year tour's do these fit? Probably 98 or newer huh? I've got a 96 zetec mtx, if they'll fit a 96, I'm in.

They look ****ing cool, probably help get heat out of the engine compartment. But mostly they just look cool.

I'm starting to save money now. will e-mail when I have enough. My only question is can I just pay in full for a deposit so the money will already be there when they are completed.

What's the time frame on waiting for 25 people if it should happen to take a long time? I don't want them to be sitting on my 100 bucks for a super long time...

This is an important question.

If this does happen where the quota is met Aerogear will make the prototype and then send the pair to their facility in Japan to have the mold created and will have them available for sale in 8 weeks.

These are a cosmetic upgrade only not a performance mod. I really don't care if these get made or not I just passed the word alon to the company making them to help out the contour crowd with getting some parts made. I have absolutely no benefit here just trying to help out my friends from here that want to set there cars apart from other svt's.

The fenders are for 98+ simply not enough market to do the older models however it would not be difficult for a good body shop to fit the 98+ fiberglass fenders to the older contour.

I recieved 30+ e-mails expressing interest in getting the fenders made so I went to the CEO of Aerogear and made the proposal and he will do them if 25 people are willing to put down the deposit. The deposit is what shows that the customer will buy the fenders and he does not end up investing in the mold and having fenders just sitting around. He needs to move 50 sets of fenders to make a profit but wants 25 of the 50 sold to even make the product so it's worth their time. If you guys do buy fenders and it works out for Aerogear there is a good chance you'll see future products.

price depends on the shop. probally ~$500 to have the fenders adapted and installed. it all comes down to how bad you want them really but anything is possible.

To get them to fit you would need to install thm on the car and mask the headlights off as well as any exposed paint. then lay fiberglass from the fender up to the headlight and create the correct opening so it fits the headlight correctly. would take a full day worth of labor maybe 2 and would be something that only a good body shop or experienced fiberglass craftsman could do.
