I would think that disc brake grease would work fine. You can get a small packet for $.99 at many parts stores.

Others may have different opinions as to what grease would be best.

Yeah I picked up a tube of all purpose grease for a couple bucks at autozone. That did the trick because now the shifts are nice and smooth. Definitely pleased with the result. Thanks everyone for the help, where would I be without CEG???

Not sure why you didn't just give me a call? I could have put it right in for you in about 10 minutes. Just because I don't live in the "frat house" anymore, doesn't mean you need to ignore me, lol...

Thanks for the offer, but unless you want to take a scenic trip out to Dallas (the drive is terrible by the way), I'll have to resort to implementing the advise I get myself.
